andrew popell, chairman & CEO
Prior to co-founding OQO, Andrew founded several companies, including Keynote Systems (KEYN), where he was the VP of Marketing, and Harvest Technology, a financial software company where he was the COO. Previously, Andrew was in charge of marketing for two vertical industry sales groups at Oracle Corporation. Andrew is a partner at Olive Hill Investment Partners, a venture capital firm investing in seed-stage technology firms. Andrew is an active chairman and has been involved in the day-to-day operations of OQO since 2000 in a variety of capacities.
Andrew holds an A.B. degree from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
jory bell, founder
Prior to founding OQO, Jory Bell worked in Apple Product Design, where he was responsible for major parts of the G3 line and the co-inception of the Titanium Powerbook. Jory was previously at IBM's Almaden Research Center, developing new portable computing hardware for IBM's ThinkPad line. Jory also worked at MIT, developing moored oceanographic instruments for climate change research.
Jory has patents pending for inventions in Powerbooks, iBooks and OQO computers.
Jory received three simultaneous B.S. degrees from MIT in earth atmosphere & planetary studies (EAPS), visual design, and literature.
mike kwatinetz, director
Mike Kwatinetz is a founding General Partner with Azure Capital Partners. Prior to Azure, Mike was managing director and a senior software and hardware analyst at several major Wall Street firms. His theories on the need for PC vendors to go beyond the box were considered agenda setting for the investment community. His technology investment strategy newsletter, Soundbytes, was one of the most widely read in Wall Street. He was top-ranked by Institutional Investor in PC Hardware. Reuters and the Wall Street Journal have selected him as the No. 1 PC analyst.
Mike holds M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from University of California, Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from New York University.
niloo howe, director
Niloo Howe is a Principal and a member of the Paladin Homeland Security Fund Investment Committee. Prior to joining Paladin, Niloo served as Principal at Zone Ventures a Los Angeles-based venture capital firm. She has also served in the capacity of Chief Executive Officer and President of an online retail company funded by Zone Ventures. Previously Niloo worked with McKinsey & Company as a strategic consultant. In that capacity, she worked with senior management of Fortune 500 companies in the retail/consumer goods, technology and healthcare sectors on issues of strategy, new product/market entry, change management/turnaround and electronic commerce. Her previous experience also includes working as an attorney with O'Melveny & Myers.
Ms. Howe graduated Cum Laude from Harvard Law School and received her B.A. from Columbia College.
joe daltoso, director
Joe Daltoso is former Chairman and CEO of Micron Electronics, a manufacturer and direct marketer of high-end personal computers, where he led the company from an early start-up to a publicly traded company with over $2B in annual revenue. Prior to founding Micron Electronics, Joe had several executive positions at Micron Technology including running its contract manufacturing and chip reclamation businesses. Joe is currently the President and CEO of IntelliScience Corporation, a software technology company specializing in pattern recognition in digital data. Additionally he sits on the advisory board of Highway 12 Ventures. Joe graduated with honors from the University of Portland with degree in Business Admininstration.

Katherine Jen founded AsiaTech Ventures in 1997, where she is currently Managing Partner. She was a pioneer in the Taiwan venture business and played a key role in setting up the first six venture funds. She also helped start the successful semiconductor industry in Taiwan. Katherine was instrumental in the inception and early stages of the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the world's leading semiconductor foundry, and continues to be heavily involved with the company's strategic decisions.
She was the Director and Deputy Executive Secretary of the Development Fund of the Taiwanese government for 7 years. In the late 1980s, Katherine served as a member of Board of Director of TSMC. She also worked closely with major banks in Taiwan and served as a board member of the International Commercial Bank of China (ICBC). Currently Katherine sits on the board of NetScreen Technologies, Inc. and a number of private companies. With her extensive business experience and strong working relationships with prominent business leaders, Katherine is well positioned to help start-up companies achieve their growth objectives.
