OQO appoints Joe Daltoso, former Chairman and CEO of Micron Electronics, to Board of Directors

Industry Veteran Strengthens OQO Team with Expertise in Manufacturing and Marketing Personal Computers

San Francisco, CA | April 2, 2005 -- OQO today announces the appointment of industry veteran Joe Daltoso to its Board of Directors. OQO continues to deepen the board, which is comprised of business and technology leaders focused on defining and driving the strategic direction of the company. Daltoso's appointment to the OQO board reflects the company's commitment to expanding its business, delivering through the direct sales channel and achieving long-term success.

  • Andrew Popell, Chairman: Prior to co-founding OQO, Andrew founded several companies, including Keynote Systems (KEYN), where he was the VP of Marketing, and Harvest Technology, a financial software company where he was COO.
  • Jory Bell, CEO: Prior to founding OQO, Jory Bell worked in Apple Product Design, where he was responsible for major parts of the G3 powerbook line and the co-inception of the Titanium Powerbook. Jory was previously at IBM's Almaden Research Center, developing new portable computing hardware for IBM's ThinkPad line. Jory also worked at MIT, developing moored oceanographic instruments for climate change research.
  • Mike Kwatinetz, Director: Mike is a founding General Partner with Azure Capital Partners. Prior to Azure, Mike was managing director and a senior software and hardware analyst at several major Wall Street firms and one of the top-ranked PC analysts.
  • Katherine Jen, Board Advisor: A seasoned investment executive with over 20 years of experience, Katherine founded AsiaTech in 1997. She was a pioneer in the Taiwan venture business and has substantial experience in general business finance, deal structuring, and venture capital funding.
