Jay Shiveley Joins OQO as CEO
SAN FRANCISCO, March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- OQO, Inc., creator of the model 01+, the world's only pocketable full-featured Windows XP computer, has announced today that Jay Shiveley has joined the Company as CEO. Shiveley brings to OQO an established track record of growing companies from early inception to multi-billion dollar enterprises. Leveraging OQO's pioneer position in the ultra mobile PC category, Shiveley will define the company's market opportunities and develop the execution engine to own those markets.

Shiveley joins OQO after 28 years of experience at notable technology- based companies. Most recently, he served as Managing Director at VantagePoint Venture Partners. Previously, he served as executive vice president of worldwide field operations at Vitria Technology and led the company's positioning, marketing, and go-to-market execution from zero to $190 million in revenues in less than three years.
Shiveley was also at Forte Software, Oracle, and Lawson where he held top executive-level positions directing and driving sales and marketing organizations.
Jay Shiveley graduated from Mankato State University with a double major in Finance and Accounting, and a minor in Sociology. Shiveley was an All American in Track and Cross Country while attending Mankato State.
